… than hit the beach for a stroll & a photo sesh!
Early Saturday morning, Ramai & I decided to pull our fluey selves out of bed & wander across the road to Burleigh beach for a walk around the beautiful headland (read: mini rainforest) — and I am SO GLAD WE DID!
What an absolutely glorious day! And yes, it is the middle of winter! It was a funny walk actually. An old man jogging called out “Nice hat” as he went past me (thank you!); then as we were at the lookout at the top of the headland, watching a whale out in the ocean, the guy next to us said: “Geez they taste good, whales” (to which everyone on the viewing platform spun around, mouths agape!)
Then, finally, to top off the morning, I turned around to see a middle-aged woman dressed in a full business suit (heels, jacket, skirt, hair in a bouffant etc) trudging up the hill — which, by the way, is super steep — & all this before 7:30am!
