GREETINGS MY AMAZING ONES!
I am in the best mood today — feeling on top of the world, even though I am furiously fighting off the dreaded winter flu. It’s been lingering, but I won’t let it get me! (although, a terrible strain of ‘man flu’ has inflicted a certain male at my house… ! THANK GOD I’M NOT A MAN, it sounds horrrrible…) ;D
- Just because Olympic Fever seems to have taken over the world, check out Fashion Olympics from foto decadent - it’s a really cute shoot with Lucy Liu. I’m in love with the shoes and red dress she’s wearing in the first pic. Ever since I bought my platform-sole stillettos in Melbourne, I have been magnetically drawn to these puppies in photos & magazines! They’re just so unbelievably comfortable for a sky-scraper shoe!
- London’s world-renowned Portobello Markets online - need I say more?! OK, I will… Pret A Portabello is amazing, and I want this, this, these, this & - what the hell - this!
- 7 Tips to Develop the Habit of Daily Exercise from Dumb Little Man. My big news on the exercise front is that I am getting a personal trainer to whip my booty & I was thinking of running a little “2 Week Bright Side Lover Fitness Challenge” where I provide you with tips & healthy eating ideas… Who would be interested in joining me on the fitness bandwagon? (there are plenty of spare seats, don’t worry!) C’mon, it’ll be heaps of FUN — and the way I see it, if we put ourselves out there and become accountable, we are far more likely to stick to it! We can start with 2 weeks and go from there… YES?!
- Free Beauty Tips has a wealth of beauty information for you to trawl through! So much fun to be had…
- V for Vintage online store ROCKS! I am coveting the binocular necklace & the solar bead clutch! WOOT!
And that’s all for now bunnies!

Welcome to this week’s petit edition of ‘All Linked Up!’ (PS — rock ‘n’ roll, baby!)
- I have just read an incredibly inspiring article from Self Made Chick called Hunting Down and Exposing Deep Down Challenges. All the articles on this site are insightful, educational and pretty damn interesting! Click around for motivation galore!
- Ok, for those of you that don’t know Zoe Foster, please do yourself a masssssive favour and become acquainted with this prodigious beauty maven and all-round amazing woman! Foster kicked her career off as Beauty Editor of Cosmopolitan magazine before taking on a role at Harpers Bazaar, and will this month launch a brand-spankin’ new site called Primped — which the tagline claims is the “go-to for the how-to in beauty.” Elsewhere online, her blog Fruity Beauty has been on my favourites list for quite some time and I highly recommend you take a peek — you won’t regret it! Anyway, I know all this is wonderful, but the most exciting news is that Zoe has just released her very own novel, “Air Kisses,” which, by all accounts, is nothing short of incrediblyexcellent & undeniablyamazing!
- Also Zoe-related: check out these two fab interviews with the writer (you can find them here - 1, 2) from Girl With a Satchel (another online addiction). They don’t disappoint! (oh, and despite the fact that what I have just written sounds like a D-grade sales pitch, I unfortunately am not affiliated with Miss Foster — it just brings me up to see smart woman kicking ass & taking names!)
- While you are on Girl With a Satchel, take the time to trawl through Erica’s posts… I can definitely say that, from personal correspondence, she is absolutely lovely and a very talented writer! Tell her I said hi!
Love, love, and even more love — to the stars & back!

- Everyone should read The Daily Motivator! I used to religiously email these to my boyfriend every morning and they truly are the best way to start the day! Lines like these make my heart sing:
Make your image of yourself and your life a positive one, and you’ll program yourself for real, sustained success. Imagine yourself at your very best, and hold that image firmly in your mind, day after day, moment by moment. Bookmark it & check in daily!
- The reason your hair still waves and kinks inappropriately after using your GHD from fruitybeauty. Fruity is SO RIGHT! I always wondered why my at-home straightening skills were so lack-lustre (well, not to mention the fact that I’m no hairdresser)! Also, check out a great video demo on perfecting GHD curls here.
- 40+ Networking Tools for Freelancers - awesome resource list! Bookmark it if you’re setting the world on fire and doing your own thing!
- Man, balloon art has come a looong way. Like, seriously.

- Awesome Photoshop tutorial on facial retouching from PSDtuts.
- Has everyone seen the Dear God site? Very interesting read… although it’s not all necessarily positive, it’s a brilliant forum & appears to be incredibly therapeutic, which can only be a good thing! Oh, and the site design is super bright & sleek, which, as you may have gathered, kinda makes me happy…
- Julia-Fullerton Batten is one of my favourite photographers. When you go to her site, click on ‘PROJECTS’ & then ‘IN BETWEEN’ — how good are these images?! If you like her work, make sure you also check out these shots here (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) of teenage girls wandering around dwarfed surroundings, which, in my opinion, are the coolest in her portfolio to date.
- Three Sneaky Traps of Positive Thinking is a fabulous article from one of my fave regular reads, The Positivity Blog.
